This scholarship is run by Division 263 of the Public Employees Federation every year to facilitate the education of high school seniors or college freshmen pursuing higher education. Division 263 represents employees of OSC outside of NYC.

To be eligible for an award, the following must be true as of April 1, 2019:
The student must be a dependent of a current, dues-paying member of PEF Division 263.
The student must be a current high school senior or college freshman.
1. For the member or student: Complete the form below.
2. For the student: Research one benefit that unions have provided to you, personally. Discuss it in a short essay (100 – 500 words). Your writing ability will NOT affect your scholarship award, but accuracy of facts is important. The essay should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org – your submission will be confirmed via email. If you do not receive a reply, call Sarah Lauser at (518) 473-1379 to follow up.
This form and the essay must be received by Sarah Lauser no later than July 19th, 2019 in order for the student to be considered for a PEF Division 263 scholarship award. Awards are expected in Fall 2019.
